It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our fellow Rotarian and friend, Roger Thorne.

Roger was a valued member of the Tara Rotary Club, known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to service above self. His contributions to our club and the community of Tara have left a lasting impact, and he will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Roger’s warmth, sense of humor, and dedication to helping others embodied the true spirit of Rotary. Whether through his volunteer efforts or the friendships he built within the club, he made a meaningful difference.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Roger’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. Our thoughts are with them.

Students in 8 local schools are raising money for important projects in their schools. Arran Tara Elementary School is one of these schools and so your help is needed.

We have the 17 days of the Winter Olympics to journey overland to Milan Italy! Team Rotary and 8 schools will be digitally and collectively journeying west across Canada, west through Alaska, crossing the Bering Strait, then down through Russia, China,
India and Eastern Europe until we arrive in Milan Italy!
