As we’ve had a few enquires this year, we’d like to confirm that the Tara Rotary Club discontinued the yard sale.

Our next planned event will be a Trivia Night in November.

The Tara Rotary Club was delighted to welcome our new District 6330 Governor at a recent meeting. We were also pleased to have our Assistant District Governor join us for the visit.

Adding to the fun, the District 6330 fundraising mascot for 2026, Coco, made a special appearance!

Did you know that the Santa Claus parade event that has been a fixture in our community is run entirely by volunteers?  And while the Tara Rotary club have been pleased to sponsor the parade, Jamie Yule and his family (non Rotarians) have been generously and selflessly putting on this event for over 27 years, even after moving out of our area.

Now it’s time to handover the reins and the Tara Rotary club will be taking them up. But we are a very small club and so we need your help!

We are seeking volunteers for a new ‘Santa Claus parade/event committee’. This will be just for this event (consisting of the Parade, and the free skate & Santa meet and greet following the parade)

The family of our beloved member Roger Thorne will host a celebration of Roger‘s life at the Roger Thorne pavilion in Tara Rotary Riverside Park on Saturday, May 9 from 1 to 4 PM. We are advised that Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be left at www.funeraloptions.ca.
