This past Saturday's Bird Walk & Watch was both informative and enjoyable. The temperature was cool but walking along while “watching and listening” for birds was certainly worth it. One of the highlights was coming across a Canada Goose and her eight little goslings trailing closely behind. She had apparently chosen a secluded nesting spot, which is perfect for raising her young during the nesting season between March and June. It was a beautiful sight to see.

We also spotted a Kingfisher, numerous Willets, and several Double-crested Cormorants, along with many other bird species. Common Terns, American Robins, Song Sparrows, and multiple warblers added to our day.

It was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday observing wildlife, learning about our local birds, and enjoying the beauty of nature. Thank you to everyone who joined us!
