Taber Food Bank Acknowledging that there is disparity in the availability of resources amongst those living in Southern Alberta.

The Mission of the Taber Food Bank Society is to meet the real and immediate food needs of the applicants in Taber and surrounding area, while working toward long term solutions for this in hunger and poverty. And recognizing that Food Banks are needed but should be only a temporary resource for those living in poverty

Join us tonight for our annual Guns & Hoses event at the Food Bank Vegetable Garden on Trout Pond Ave. This is the 5th year for this event!

Event Schedule:

5:00 PM: BBQ prepared by the Knights of Columbus

6:00 PM: Harvesting work party following dinner

This event brings together community members, local police officers, RCMP, and firefighters to harvest fresh produce. The harvest directly supports the Taber Food Bank, local partners in Lethbridge, and food banks across Alberta.

Everyone in the community is welcome to attend, enjoy good food, and help us make an impact on provincial food security. We hope to see you there!

The Taber Food Bank is looking for farmers to sign up for our farmer shed. Our farmer shed contains food products that we are not able to hand out, but can be used by farmers to feed livestock!

If you are able to pick up from our shed every Monday or Friday, please reach out!
