Important Upcoming Remembrance Events 2025:

ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION 2025 NATIONAL POPPY CAMPAIGN

From the last Friday of October to November 11, tens of millions of Canadians wear a Poppy as a visual pledge to honour Canada’s Veterans and to remember those who sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today.

VETERANS BANNERS

To enable citizens to recognize the Veterans who served our country and our community in the name of peace, the Town of Taber is allowing sponsorship of any Canadian Veteran.

The banners will be displayed from November 1st to November 14th.

VETERANS SUPPER

The annual Veterans Supper will be held at the Legion on November 10 to honour all Veterans. Dinner service provided by the members of the Taber Police Service.

Cocktails: 5:00 PM
Supper: 6:00 PM

Tickets are available through the Legion Office.

REMEMBRANCE DAY SERVICE 2025

The Remembrance Day Service commences at 10:50 AM at the Taber Community Centre.

Please arrive early as there is limited seating.

Remembrance Social to follow at the Legion Lounge.

The Royal Canadian Legion 2025 National Poppy Campaign Launches Today:

Every year, from the last Friday of October to November 11, tens of millions of Canadians wear a Poppy as a visual pledge to honour Canada’s Veterans and remember those who sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today.

The Poppy is distributed freely to all who wish to wear one, and the Legion gratefully accepts donations to the Poppy Fund which goes directly to supporting local Veterans.
