Brenda was co-founder of Vet2Vet and recipient of many honours for her advocacy service.
There are many out there doing good work, and she was definitely one of them.

KROETSCH, Bonnie Teresa

1974 – 2026

Bonnie Teresa Kroetsch of Sylvan Lake, Alberta passed away at home on May 6, 2026, at the age of 51 years. Bonnie was born in Red Deer, Alberta on October 27, 1974, to Glen and Carol Hilsabeck. She was known for her kind and compassionate heart, gentle spirit, and genuine care she showed to everyone around her. Bonnie wore her heart on her sleeve, and her warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Throughout her life, Bonnie worked in many different fields. She spent several years working in security before she became a baker and later worked in office administration. Above all else, Bonnie’s greatest joy was her family. She loved and adored her children and grandchildren, and treasured every moment spent together. Some of the most cherished family memories are of camping adventures, road trips and vacations.

Bonnie will be lovingly remembered by her son, Chase Kroetsch; her daughter, Catalina; her mother, Carol Griner; her brothers, Gordon and Bill Griner and her three grandchildren. She is predeceased by her grandparents, Glen and Ella Ferguson, and her father, Bill Griner.

A day of documenting events that for the longest time, Canada would not admit happened.

(Ret)M/Cpl Neil NacDonald is one of two remaining veterans of the Nevada nuclear testing, being as close as 1000 yards away from one of SIX blasts he experienced.

Only two of the 40 QOROC who wer there, were awarded the very little compensation.
Thank you sir for allowing me in to document only part of your 24 years of service and sacrifice.
