On June 27th at our Multiculturalism Day celebration, we are excited to feature 8 different restaurants on-site for you to take your taste buds on a tour of the globe for only $5 per portion.

How it works:

1. Purchase a ticket for $5.00 each
2. Head over to the restaurant booth of your choice
3. Redeem 1 ticket for 1 serving

If you want to try more than one dish, multiple tickets can be purchased and redeemed!

Today is Philippine Independence Day! This is a day of celebration of Philippine heritage and culture in Canada that lasts throughout the month!

The Filipino Association of Cape Breton is also hosting a Filipino Fiesta tomorrow, June 13 from 3-8pm at the Wentworth Park featuring live performances and Filipino food!

Mark your calendars! On Saturday, June 27th from 5-9 p.m., we are coming together at the Open Hearth Amphitheatre to celebrate Canadian Multiculturalism Day with an incredible evening of food, music, dance, and community.

We have a big lineup of incredible cultural showcases and delicious food. Here’s a taste of what we have in store:

$5 Food Plates: We will have 8 different restaurants on site for you to take your taste buds on a tour of the globe for only $5 per portion.

Performances: Experience stunning cultural showcases representing China, Vietnam, India, and Africa!

We are thrilled to collaborate with Sport Nova Scotia, Inverness County, Cape Breton Connector Program, Racket and Paddle Association of Cape Breton and Cabot Cape Breton to support diversity in sports, and what better way to do that than with FREE tennis! 🌟

Join us as we welcome you to the courts to connect, learn a new sport, stay fit, and make meaningful friendships within our community. Whether you've played before or have never held a racket, this is for you!

👥 Who: Open to ages 5 and up! Everyone is welcome.
📅 When: Every Sunday in June
📍 Where: Cabot Cape Breton tennis courts (beside Coore's Lobster Shack)
🎒 Cost: FREE

Looking to get active, practice your swing, or try something new? Come down to the Sydney River Tennis Club for a completely free drop-in session! No commitment, just fun on the courts.

Here are the details:

🧒 Juniors (Ages 5–17)
⏰ 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM

👤 Adults (18+)
⏰ 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

📍 Where: Sydney River Tennis Club
💰 Cost: 100% FREE!
