Happy 2026 bike month! If you are not a member yet, please register prior to attending. Once you register with Velo Cape Breton once for the scheduled bike rides, there is no need to register for each ride. All participants MUST bring a HELMET, and your OWN BIKE.

Here are our upcoming group bike rides for the end of this week and into next:

Saturday, June 20th @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm: Mary Ann Falls

Tuesday, June 23rd @ Maryann Corbett Trail Weekly Morning Ride from 10:00 am -12:00 pm (Starting at Mayflower Mall by old Hudson Bay)

Thursday, June 25th Ingonish Ride @ 9:00-11:00 am from Periwinkle Cafe to Mackinnon's Cove and back (approx 20 km)

Fort Petrie Ride on June 25th starts at 10:00 am- 12:30 pm
We ride to Fort Petrie (30 kms) from Open Hearth Park (190 Ferry Street, Sydney, N.S), optional ride to Low Point Lighthouse 39 kms.
Relaxed social ride, history, discovery, and chatting.

Training/Workshop on June 27th, 2026 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

This Bike Month Event teaches safe cycling skills to children ages 5 – 12
All children must be accompanied by an adult and must bring a properly fitted bicycle and helmet to participate. Please arrive at 10:00 and expect to stay until the end of the event for the prize draw.

Heads up about the 20-40km social ride tomorrow (June 18th) at 10:00 AM!

Riders will meet at Mira Provincial Park along the Brickyard Road (across from Mullin's). Ronald Labelle will lead with fascinating historical background of the area between Mira, Catalone Gut, Bateson, and Main-a-Dieu.
