🎉 We’re excited to share that Horizon Achievement Centre has been nominated for an Excellence in Business Award!

This nomination reflects the contributions of so many — the people we support, our dedicated Board and staff, families, partners, customers, and community supporters who continue to be part of Horizon.

A few photos from our Annual Meeting and a very special afternoon celebrating Carol’s retirement! 💙

Thank you to everyone who joined us as we reflected on another year at Horizon and celebrated Carol’s many years of dedication and leadership.

We wish Carol all the very best as she begins this next chapter and thank her for everything she has contributed to Horizon over the years.

Here are a few moments from the day! 📸

September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. 🧡

Today, we honor the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities.

We recognize that reconciliation is an ongoing responsibility and encourage everyone to take time today to listen, learn, reflect, and deepen their understanding of the history and experiences of Indigenous Peoples in Canada.

The Centre will be closed for the day.

Every Child Matters. 🧡

🤧🍂 Cold & Flu Season Reminder

As we head into cold and flu season, we want to help keep everyone at Horizon healthy and well.

If you are feeling unwell, please remember to:
🧼 Wash your hands frequently
🤧 Cover coughs and sneezes
🧴 Use hand sanitizer when needed
🏠 Stay home if you are sick
❤️ Be mindful of those around you who may be more vulnerable to illness

A few simple precautions can go a long way in helping prevent the spread of illness throughout our Centre.

Thank you for helping us keep our Horizon community healthy! 💙

🥔 Potato Harvest Day at Horizon! 🥔

Look at this haul! 👀 The garden crew has been busy digging up this year’s potato crop, and we’d say it was a pretty great harvest!

There’s something extra satisfying about growing it, harvesting it, and seeing all that hard work pay off. 🌱🥔

Now the big question… what should we make with all these potatoes?! Drop your ideas below! 👇
