How much can my rent go up? What happens if my landlord isn’t making repairs? Can I be evicted by text?
If you rent your home, knowing your rights and responsibilities can make a big difference when an issue comes up.
Tomorrow evening, Isabelle Lalonde, New Dawn’s Director of Properties, will be at the McConnell Library in Sydney for a free Tenant Advocacy Workshop, breaking down Nova Scotia’s Residential Tenancies Act in plain language.
We’ll talk about rent increases, repairs, security deposits, eviction notices, late rent and what happens when a dispute goes to mediation or a hearing. There will also be plenty of time for questions.
