In 2018, the Chamber renamed itself the Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce, to encompass the region in its entirety, and embarked on a four-year strategic plan which included a rebranding. You will find the Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce office at 50 Dorchester Street in Downtown Sydney, but the organization represents all areas of the CBRM. The Chamber staff works hard to ensure that the business community is adequately represented and we endorse positive growth in small and large businesses. We hope that this will make the CBRM a place where businesses not only want, but need to be, and where people want to live, work, and visit.

Strong communities depend on healthy environments, and ACAP Cape Breton has been working to protect and restore the natural environment of Unama’ki-Cape Breton for more than 30 years.

Atlantic Coastal Action Program (ACAP) Cape Breton was founded in 1992 to address industrial pollution, and has grown into a charitable not-for-profit organization focused on practical, community-based environmental action. Its mission is to support resilient, environmentally sustainable communities across Unama’ki-Cape Breton.
