We grant unfulfilled wishes to seniors with the clear intention of positively changing the way society views, values and supports our oldest generation.

We Are Young is a registered Canadian charity that exists to inspire positive change in the way we view, value and support seniors through transformative wish experiences. We Are Young (WAY) is a charitable organization that grants unfulfilled wishes to seniors living in the Atlantic Provinces (Nova Scotia, PEI, New Brunswick, and NewFoundland & Labrador). Through granting wishes, our mission is to raise social awareness around the inequalities seniors face, encourage respect for and appreciation of seniors, and facilitate inter-generational connection where seniors experience inclusion and belonging in our communities.

This Thanksgiving, while you’re gathered together, take a moment to ask them what they’ve always wanted to do.

You can stop by the We Are Young booth to nominate a senior in person, or leave your contact information and we’ll reach out to help you complete the nomination by phone.

11 years of seniors being reminded that their dreams still matter.

We’ve celebrated birthdays, reunited loved ones, created once in a lifetime experiences and watched seniors light up in ways that stay with us long after the wish is over.

And today, we’re asking you to help us celebrate in the best way possible.

💙 Happy National Seniors Day!

Today, we celebrate the seniors who have shaped our families, our communities and our world.

The people who have worked hard.

Raised families.

Built businesses.

Served their communities.

Cared for others.

Created memories.

Overcome challenges.

Loved deeply.

And given so much of themselves along the way.

At We Are Young, we believe their stories, accomplishments, passions and dreams deserve to be celebrated.

And sometimes, celebrating a senior means asking them one very simple question:

✨ If you could make one dream come true, what would it be?

Then listen to their answer.

Because it might be something they have dreamed about for years.

And it might be something We Are Young can help make happen.

We have the capacity to grant more wishes, and we need your help finding the seniors who are deserving of one.

We understand.

But here is the thing:

Seniors are deserving of extraordinary experiences too.

At We Are Young, we grant experience based wishes that celebrate the dreams, passions, memories and connections that matter most to seniors. These experiences help relieve age-related barriers and provide hope to a generation who has paved the way for the generations that follow.

An opportunity to reconnect with someone special.

National Seniors Day is October 1, and we want to spend this week celebrating the incredible seniors in our lives.
