Island Skateboard Association Island Skateboard Association is a volunteer-run organization who’s aim is to support the culture and community of skateboarding on Cape Breton Island.

We just conducted a survey, and would are very grateful for your input! We gathered as much information as we could about the state of skateboarding in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality. Your feedback will help us develop a Skateboard Amenity Strategy (much like those seen in Calgary and Toronto). This will assist us to cultivate a healthy and inclusive culture for a diverse population of user

s. We want to hear from everyone - whether you are a skateboarder or not. A skateboard amenity is a purpose-built recreational environment made for skateboarding, BMX, scooter, rollerblades and other small-wheeled sports to utilize.

SKATEBOARD AUCTION WEEK 3!

New this week - we have grip! For an additional $12 on top of your auction bid, get a sheet of Jessup.

To place a bid - comment your bid amount on the photo of the board. Bids start at $50 and go in increments of $5. Bidding closes on Sunday at 7pm. We’ll contact the highest bidder, you then have 1 week to e-transfer or pay cash on pick up.

Buy it now for $100 - only available until 11am Saturday 6th! E-transfer for buy it now must be sent within 24hrs of post or it stays available for auction.

Pick-up available in Sydney, Glace Bay or New Waterford. Your bid does not include shipping.

These boards were generously donated by TAKE TO THE GRAVE , with 100% of every sale going directly to the Andrew MacKinnon Skatepark rebuild fund.

To place a bid - comment your bid amount along with which board the bid is for. Bids start at $50. Bidding closes on Sunday at 7pm. We’ll contact the highest bidder, you then have 1 week to e-transfer or pay cash on pick up.

Buy it now for $100 - only available for the first 24 hours (11am Saturday 30th)! E-transfer to buy it now must be sent within 24hrs of post or it stays available for auction.

Pick-up available in Sydney, Glace Bay or New Waterford. Your bid does not include shipping. If shipping is needed, send us a message with your address for a quote (but heads up, it’s not cheap to ship a skateboard!).

Our first block draw is now LIVE!

Winner takes home these Primitive x Marvel series decks by artist Paul Jackson, featuring Wolverine (Tiago Lemos), Venom (Robert Neal) and Doctor Doom (Miles Silvas). Numbers are $5 each with 100% of the proceeds going towards the Andrew MacKinnon Memorial Skatepark Rebuild.

Thanks to an extremely generous donation, we have a ton of boards to help raise funds for the Andrew MacKinnon Memorial Rebuild.

We’ll be doing a weekly Facebook Auction for decks starting at $50, we’ll run block draws on a few artist series decks, and we’ll be posting some of the collectors pieces on eBay and sharing that link. We’re also planning a little in person pop up sale for later in the spring.

There are some absolute heaters in this collection you won’t wanna miss. More details coming soon!
