Sydney Riverview Y Service Club of Cape Breton Always looking for new members to help serve our community! Our motto- "To acknowledge the duty that accompanies every right."

Since 1923, the Sydney-Riverview Y Service Club has been providing volunteer service to our community and the YMCA. Our club is extremely active, not only through contributions to the YMCA, through some of its projects and its children’s programs, but also to other worthy organizations like the Regional Hospital Library, the Pediatric Ward, Autism Cape Breton, L’Arche Cape Breton, the Children’s W

ish Foundation, St. Theresa’s Men’s Club Spring Camp for Children and many, many others. Funds from our numerous projects held throughout the year allow us to continue this on-going support. The Annual Home Show, our Annual Christmas Tree Lot at the youth center, Spaghetti Dinner Fundraisers, our Annual Golf Tourney Auction are just some of our efforts that see funds flow right back into the community!

At the recent Y Service Club Annual Convention a few of our illustrious members were bestowed with some wonderful recognition for their over 50 years of membership in the Y Service Club movement.

Y's Wes MacQueen, Y's Sandy Reynolds, Y's Laurie Murchison and Y's Harry Henderson, along with Y's Menette Carol Reynolds and Y's Menette Marjorie MacQueen were all presented with the Golden Anniversary Award.

Congratulations to these long serving members of the Sydney - Riverview Y Service Club - the club that actually made the Y Service Club Organization "International"!
