Breton Ability is hiring for a Summer Student Grant Opportunity.

This is a great chance to gain hands-on experience while helping keep our properties and outdoor spaces safe, clean, and welcoming.

The successful candidate will support groundskeeping, property maintenance, painting projects, seasonal outdoor work, and provide general support to our Human Resources and Finance teams.

Applicants must be between 15 and 30 years of age and meet Canada Summer Jobs eligibility requirements. The position begins June 19, 2026, and runs for 8 to 10 consecutive weeks at 35 hours per week.

Applications will be accepted until June 12, 2026, at 4:00 PM.

The selection process for this grant will include an interview.

Our Annual General Meeting is happening on June 23 from 4pm to 6pm at The Dory Pub & Restaurant.

This is a great chance to connect, ask questions, and learn more about the work we do every day. We will share updates and talk about what’s coming next.

Light refreshments will be served. This event is open to the public, so everyone is welcome.

Last month’s LaughAbility fundraiser was filled with laughter and unforgettable moments.

A big thank you to our amazing headliners Albert Coombes Comedy and Jon Pickett Comedy for bringing so much fun to the stage, Cape Breton Comedy Fest and especially Chad Sinclair for organizing this event . We also want to give a special shoutout to Sherri, who did an incredible job performing and sharing her humour with the crowd.
