Tread The Thunder is a volunteer based organization promoting and developing mountain biking at Thunder Hill, located in the Swan River Valley.

We are located just north of Kenville, MB on Hwy 83. Take Road 487 Approx. 14 miles West. You will find us at the top of the hill. Follow the signs as you near the hill.

☀️Even though it doesn't look like it, the sun is setting on the winter trails. We are taking a short break from grooming with the snowdog and sleds and when the snow FINALLY disappears, we will be out there getting the trails ready for riding, running, and exploring!

⚡Our trails are maintained entirely by volunteers and we will be posting trail work events here soon.

⚡the trail network has been groomed and they are ready for a great weekend of outdoor fun!

👉Head out to Thunderhill this afternoon and cheer on the Mardi Gras races, get some great food at the chalet and then walk it off on the trails!

⚡Thunderhill Trail network was groomed Saturday afternoon and the trails are ready to explore! Get out on your fat tire bike or go for a walk on the groomed paths.

There is also a single xc track set that leads out to the field for an 'out and back' 2 km track that has a great view of the valley.

Tread The Thunder Bike Club is working towards starting a fund with the Community Foundation of Swan Valley, giving our community a new way to support local trail development!

Donations made through CFSV go directly toward trail improvements, expansion, and key capital projects that make trails better for everyone. Charitable donations can be made directly to CFSV and designate your donation to 'Tread The Thunder Bike Club Fund'

Your generosity helps keep the wheels turning on our trails! If the trail network at Thunderhill has ever given you adventure, joy, peace, or connection with nature and friends, consider a year-end gift.

📣 Great start to packing the trail network yesterday! Special thanks to the for the grant so that we can access more of our trails for winter use. Also grateful for our neighbor who is our closest dealer for Snowdogs and was a big help in getting us going with this groomer 🙌

⚡Stay tuned for more updates. More snow on the way this week so once that is packed then the trails should be in good shape for walking, snowshoeing, and fatbiking

Highlights from the 2025 Thunderhill Harvest Classic! What a great day for the event! Thanks to all the participants and supporters who made this a fun day.

There are still some event t-shirts available for purchase for $10 each. Pickup from 734 Custom Apparel in Swan River (129-4th Ave South). Funds to towards trail maintenance ⚒️

Getting excited for winter at Thunderhill!

A special thank you to for their $2000 donation towards the purchase of this snowdog, as well as the Youth in Philanthropy group who donated an additional $1000! Amazing 🙌

Their support will help us keep the trail network groomed in the winter months for walking, fat biking, snowshoeing, and exploring the trails all year!

Until the 🌨️ falls, get out and ride or walk the trails, they are beautiful in the fall! 🍂 🍁

🚨New! Looking for a simple, fun outing? Try out the Par 3 Disc Golf at Thunderhill. It is a 6 basket course so it's great for kids or something to try after exploring the trails!

🥏 There are discs to use located at hole 1 but please return them after your round so that everyone can enjoy a turn ✅

🗓️ The course will be set up and available to use until mid - October

Registration Details:

✅Weekly ride at Thunderhill Trail Network from 3-5 pm
✅For ages 10-17yrs
✅Cost $50 (this includes club insurance and registration for the Thunderhill Harvest Classic bike race on Sunday, September 28). Cash, cheque, or e-transfers are accepted(make cheques payable to Tread The Thunder Bike Club or e-transfers can be sent to [email protected]

🚨 We will not be attending Mass Registration because we are starting on September 7th.

➡️Please send us a message or email us and we will send you the registration form and liability form to complete. Fill out the registration form and bring it to the first Bike Club event on Sunday, September 7th.
