Let’s have some fun!! 🤩 Congratulations to last week’s winner Roxanne Schneider. This week we dig WAYYYYY back into the archives in celebration of this week's century old Men's bonspiel, stop by the curling rink this week for sharp shooting curling action. Lifetime member Bob Tibble remembers back in the 1960's the bonspiel would run all week, the big banquet would be held on a Wednesday at the legion hall, which acted as the watering hole (smoker) for the 400 plus curlers. The banquet would consist of various meats such as elk bison, beef, beaver, wild turkey, you name it!! Stan Pawlinsky and Dick Walker and crew replicated this back for our 100th Anniversary. Now here's a chuckle, the RCMP would help work the bar, help clean drinks off the table, and act as security for any curlers stepping out of line!! This bonspiel was an event that shut the town down for the week to celebrate the annual men's bonspiel. Ohhh, if we could turn the clock back!!
