We are proud to see our Grade 6, 7 & 8 French Immersion students learning through hands-on cultural activities, building understanding, respect, and connections within our community.

Thank you to the Elbert Chartrand Friendship Centre for providing this meaningful opportunity.

A heartfelt thank you to Mme. Chmelowski and the Grade 6, 7 & 8 French Immersion class for joining us in honoring Indigenous History Month. Together, we created dream catchers, made bannock, and played games, enriching our understanding and appreciation of Indigenous cultures through ECFC Languages & Cultural Programming.

Canada needs continued investment in official languages bilingualism.

In our 2026 Pre-Budget Submission, Canadian Parents for French is calling for a renewed commitment toward increasing the rate of bilingualism to 20% by 2036.

For decades, CPF has championed opportunities for young people to learn and use French across Canada. Now is the time to take the next step forward. 🇨🇦

What an incredible evening at our 5th Annual CPF Swan River Talent Show held on May 21st at the ÉSRSS Gymnasium! 🌟

We were thrilled to welcome 16 amazing acts to the stage, with students showcasing their talents through dance, comedy, science experiments, skits, piano performances, singing, and so much more. The creativity, confidence, and enthusiasm from all of the participants made for such a fun and memorable night!

A huge congratulations to all of our performers for sharing their talents and stepping onto the stage — we are so proud of each and every one of you. 👏

We would also like to congratulate the 3 lucky participants Bennet, Clark & Théa who took home our special event prizes! 🎉

A special thank you to French Immersion Grade 12 student Kemi Bulycz for assisting with MC duties throughout the evening. Your help, confidence, and leadership were greatly appreciated!

Thank you to the students, families, staff, volunteers, and community members who came out to support this wonderful student-led event. Events like these are such a great way to celebrate student creativity, leadership, and confidence within our French community.

We would also like to thank ImmersArt for their support through grant funding which helped offset event costs and made this evening possible.

To make the evening even more memorable, we also got to celebrate one of our student performer’s birthday together! 🎂✨

Already looking forward to next year’s show! ✨

Our Chapter President, Amanda Bulycz, spent yesterday at the Manitoba Legislative Building alongside Canadian Parents for French – Manitoba helping advocate for French as a Second Language education across Manitoba.

The day focused on the future of bilingual education, the growing need for French teachers and support staff, and ensuring students across the province — especially here in the Swan Valley — continue to have access to strong French programming and opportunities.

We are proud to have our chapter represented in these important conversations supporting students, families, and the future of French education in Manitoba.
