We are proud to highlight French Immersion graduate Kemi Bulycz and recognize all of the hard work and dedication behind her incredible achievements as part of the SVRSS Class of 2026.
Kemi was awarded the Governor General’s Bronze Medal, Canada’s highest academic honour presented at the high school level. She earned this prestigious distinction by achieving the highest overall average in a graduating class of 137 students—an incredible reflection of her dedication, perseverance, and hard work.
Kemi was also selected by her classmates to serve as Class Valedictorian, an honour that speaks not only to her academic success but also to the respect she earned from her peers.
A particularly memorable moment was hearing Kemi proudly speak in French during her valedictory address as she reflected on the friendships, memories, and experiences shared with her fellow French Immersion classmates. It was a beautiful reminder that French Immersion is about so much more than learning another language—it builds confidence, creates lifelong friendships, and opens doors to countless opportunities.
