Six days later, we're finally finding the words. ❤️
On May 30, something truly special happened.
More than 500 people walked through the doors of Canada's First ever North East Fest. What started as a dream became a celebration of culture, community, and connection unlike anything we have experienced before.
To every attendee who bought a ticket, shared a post, brought a friend, danced, sang, ate, laughed, and spent the evening with us— thank you. You turned an idea into a movement.
To our volunteers, who worked tirelessly before, during, and after the event, often behind the scenes and without recognition — this would not have been possible without your dedication and belief in our vision.
To our sponsors and partners, thank you for trusting us and supporting a first-of-its-kind initiative. Your support helped bring this festival to life.
To the dignitaries, elected officials, community leaders, and special guests who joined us, thank you for recognizing the importance of celebrating and amplifying the cultures of North-East India in Canada.
To the representatives and communities from all eight North-Eastern states who set up stalls, shared stories, showcased traditions, and welcomed guests with warmth and pride — thank you for bringing the heart of the North-East to Vancouver.
To our food vendors, thank you for serving more than food. You served memories, traditions, and a taste of home.
And finally, to the organizing committee of SaptaRang — months of planning, countless meetings, sleepless nights, challenges, setbacks, and sacrifices led to this moment. Your passion, resilience, and commitment made history.
What we witnessed on May 30 was much bigger than a festival.
It was a reminder that culture connects us.
That stories matter.
And that when communities come together, extraordinary things can happen.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making Canada's First North East Fest a grand success.
This is only the beginning. ❤️
