Care Today...Cure Tomorrow. Visit www.driveforthecure.com to support our cause! The ‘Drive for the Cure’ was born.

Over seventeen years ago, a group of individuals made a decision to change the way cancer has touched their lives. To channel the negative energy into something positive and to ultimately make a difference. Since its inception, the Drive for the Cure Committee, with generous support of local BC businesses and individuals, has raised over $1 million to provide funds for cancer care and treatment in British Columbia. At our 12th annual tournament, we raised $138,000 and this year we would like to better that mark. The objective for the Drive for the Cure continues to be fundraising through a number of events: most notably, the Drive for the Cure Golf Tournament. Proceeds from these events are used to enhance the health, well-being and quality of life for those struggling with this deadly disease. Projects undertaken by the Drive for the Cure include: the purchase of special diagnostic and treatment equipment; provision of funds for a Children’s Program to assist young children coping with this devastating illness in the family or the death of a parent or grandparent; and the purchase of visual aids to provide patients undergoing unpleasant treatments, a much needed moment of hope. This year 50% of the funds will continue to be distributed for cancer care and treatment and 50% will be placed in an Endowment Fund. As always, zero percent of the funds raised are directed to administration. All of our events and fundraising programs are designed and run by volunteers. With our 13th Annual Golf Tournament scheduled for Tuesday, July 12, 2011, we would like to invite you and your organization to join us for a day of fun on and off the links while helping us to assist those in need against cancer. ❤️ DRIVE FOR THE CURE DID IT! $500,000 NET RAISED FOR CANCER CARE! ❤️

Since our successful tournament in July, we’ve taken the time to finalize all the numbers, collect outstanding funds & welcome a few more generous donations. We are incredibly proud & excited to share that, thanks to all of you, Drive for the Cure has raised an incredible $500,000 NET! 🎉

This achievement belongs to every sponsor, donor, golfer, volunteer & person who has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this possible. Your generosity is creating a lasting impact in our community, and we want to share just some of what your support is helping us accomplish.

🎗️ Making a Difference in Cancer Care

🏥 Two Magseed Devices Purchased! One for Langley Memorial Hospital & one for Ridge Meadows Hospital. Both devices are already in use, helping breast cancer patients more comfortably locate their tumours while waiting for surgery.

🏥 Peace Arch Hospital Foundation: We will be fulfilling our commitment to help purchase new imaging equipment to replace outdated technology, supporting improved care for patients.

🏥 Surrey Hospitals Foundation: We will be contributing additional funds toward our ongoing goal of securing future naming rights & funding specific pieces of equipment. All Larry Legacy donations will also go directly to Surrey Hospitals Foundation.

💗 Continuing Our Community Support: Every year, we are also proud to support Melanoma Canada through the Hamilton Family Foundation, BC Children's Hospital through Rally for Malcolm, & the Toothfairy Gala, with BC Cancer as its beneficiary.

For us, Drive for the Cure has always been about more than a tournament. It's about coming together as a community, supporting one another & making a meaningful difference in the lives of current & future cancer patients. It's also about recognizing the incredible people who give their time, energy & heart to help make all of this happen.

Every dollar matters. Every donation matters. Every piece of equipment we help provide has the potential to change lives. ❤️
