40 YEARS AGO 🥍

In 1986, the Surrey Rebels Senior Men captured the WCSLA Championship and BC Senior B Provincial Championship, then went on to earn bronze at the Presidents’ Cup right here in Surrey.

It was the start of an incredible run, with the Rebels winning three straight BC Championships from 1986–1988.

40 years later, we’re proud to look back at the players, coaches and volunteers who helped build Rebels history.

Today, we celebrate the dads who make this community stronger with their support, encouragement, and unwavering belief in their athletes.

Thank you for the rides, the cheers from the sidelines, the words of wisdom, and the countless moments spent sharing a love for the game. Whether you’re watching from the stands, helping behind the scenes, or tossing a ball around in the backyard, your presence means more than you know.

The lessons you teach about commitment, respect, perseverance, and teamwork extend far beyond the field and leave a lasting impact on the next generation.

To all the incredible lacrosse dads—thank you for everything you do and for being such an important part of our lacrosse family.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our event sponsor, Core Site Solutions, whose support helped make this year’s Awards Night possible. We are also grateful to our generous door prize donors—Gummy Gainz, Booster Juice Hillcrest Village, A&W Langley, the Ending Violence Association of BC, and the Vancouver Warriors. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s Rebels Lacrosse Awards Night and helped make it such a special evening. It was wonderful to come together and celebrate the hard work, growth, and achievements of our athletes, while recognizing the dedication of the coaches, volunteers, referees, families, and supporters who contribute so much to our association. The pride in the room and the support shown for our players reflected what makes the Rebels community so special. Congratulations to all of our award recipients, and thank you to everyone who played a part in making this season a success. We are grateful for the commitment and passion that continues to strengthen our Rebels family, and we look forward to another great season ahead.
