Foster Kids in BC are in need of clothes, school supplies, food, shelter, education and funding for employment and life skills programs that will aid in transition into adulthood. Foster Kids get limited funding therefore they receive limited support. Foster Kids are our kids too. The children are our future. We must protect these children and invest in their today for a better tomorrow for us all
. Our goal is to raise funds to open an Community Center in Surrey/Delta/Langley. We hope to run this Center as a licensed business or as a non profit. This Center will be dedicated to helping foster kids get the life skills and hands on employment training they need to succeed and thrive as productive young adults in the future. The plan is to use this Center as a location to teach foster kids Career and Life Skills in a real life setting as well as providing them with complimentary counselling to overcome any emotional barriers or fears they may face while transitioning into adulthood. We have the trainers to teach the youth skills. We have the counselor. We have the passion. We have the man power and a plan. We even have a few locations in mind. All we need now is the funding.. Thats where you come in! No cause is too big no donation is too small! Please take the time to educate yourself about the risks youth in care face. We would like to raise enough funds to honor deceased youth in care by scholarships in their names. We would like to give youth in care the skills they need to obtain employment and transition into adulthood. We would like to give former and current foster kids a chance at life and not death. Nobody deserves to die like Paige died.. Every child matters!
