The Association consists of both unionized sheet metal contractors throughout BC and associate members; suppliers to the industry.

Formed in 1969, the British Columbia Sheet Metal Association (SMACNA-BC) was the first international chapter of the Sheet Metal and Air-Conditioning Contractors' National Association (SMACNA). Since then, SMACNA-BC has been one of the leading construction associations in British Columbia, Canada. The Association consists of both contractor and associate members. SMACNA-BC had a terrific time in Prince George at the "How to Be a More Effective Supervisor" training class. Kevin Dougherty was an amazing speaker and spending time with our Northern Chapter members made for a very enjoyable day.

This month is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so what better way to acknowledge it, but have Mike at Ames Metal Fabrication 82 LTD. make a ribbon that can hold 800 lights? 1 in 8 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer - this effects both women and men! So please be sure to do your self exams and make yourself aware of things to watch for!
This ribbon will be displayed at The Run for the Cure and in a Christmas Charity Display for years to come.

SMACNA-BC was pleased to welcome the E.H. Price Solutions team and Vincent Belokopytov to present life safety damper systems at our September Dinner Meeting for our members. Thank you for the great presentation.
