White Rock Council has approved a beach wheelchair pilot project. SAS is happy to hear that beach wheelchairs will once again grace the beautiful seaside of White Rock. https://digital.peacearchnews.com/Peace-Arch-News.../9/
The city's first beach-accessible wheelchairs, paddle board back rests and kayak paddles arrived in 2016, & were acquired through fundraising by SAS, Enabling Accessibility Fund through the government of Canada and a private donation. Rentals were publicly avaliable through the support of former East Beach merchant, Feral Board Sports.
We're so grateful for our community.
