She wanted to make sure that no mother facing terminal illness would ever feel invisible. 🥺🩷

When Cecilie Flatval was diagnosed with incurable breast cancer, she chose to use her voice to raise awareness and help others feel less alone. Today, a life sized bronze statue of Cecilie stands in central Oslo, showing her mastectomy scar and honouring her story.

It is more than just a statue. It is a reminder of the millions of people living with metastatic cancer and the very real lives, families, and stories behind every diagnosis.
What a beautiful way to keep Cecilie’s story and message alive. 🩷
