The GOABC was established in 1966 to represent the guide outfitting industry to government, and advocate for science-based wildlife management. Our vision is for a province with a strong and stable guide outfitting industry and abundant big game populations for all to enjoy, both today and in the future. As passionate advocates for wildlife, the GOABC is the recognized voice of the guide outfitting family. With integrity and professionalism, GOABC promotes conservation, stewardship, and sustainable use of wildlife.

A Mountain Hunter story can begin as a conversation, a voice note, bullet points or answers to a few questions. Whether your memorable experience was a guided hunt or a freshwater fishing trip, you bring the story. Chief Editor Brenda Gibson will help find the structure and develop the draft with you.

Start with one sentence. Email [email protected] with TELL IT in the subject line, name the GOABC member guide or outfitter and tell us what made the experience memorable.

GOABC is pleased to share this SCI Foundation-supported conservation project taking place in British Columbia.

This work highlights the value of science-based wildlife management and the importance of collaboration between the Tahltan Central Government, the University of British Columbia and SCI Foundation. We acknowledge the important work and involvement of all those who contributed their expertise and time to this project.

Healthy wildlife populations depend on good science, respectful partnerships, and a shared commitment to conservation.
