A friendly reminder that orders for our Easter Meal Fundraiser close on March 29. If you’re looking for a simple, delicious way to enjoy Easter while giving back, we’d love to cook for you.

Each meal includes turkey and ham, spring stuffing, potatoes, glazed carrots, and your choice of chocolate cream pie or carrot cake—perfect for gathering with family and friends.

A powerful way to support CNOY — with your impact doubled

One of our incredible volunteers, Rae, is giving back through a special fundraiser in support of Storehouse Community Hub Society, with all funds raised going directly toward our Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) walk.

Thanks to the doTERRA Healing Hands Match Program, every dollar donated is matched up to $10,000, doubling the impact for individuals and families facing food insecurity in Langley, Surrey, and White Rock.

Why volunteer at Storehouse?

Because a few hours of your time can mean a warm meal, food in the pantry, or a helping hand for someone who needs it most.

As the need in our community continues to grow — and as our programs continue to expand — we are looking for compassionate volunteers to support our Mobile Meals (Meals on Wheels) and Warehouse teams. Every role plays an important part in caring for our neighbours with dignity and compassion.

Our greatest volunteer needs include:
🚗 Mobile Meals drivers
🍲 Daytime meal prep volunteers
📦 Warehouse support & truck drivers to help receive and distribute food donations for our programs

This week, we were reminded that kindness doesn’t have an age.

When Avya & Leya heard that there was a need for toys this Christmas, they wanted to help right away. With bright smiles and the biggest hearts, they came in with a donation of brand new toys—each one chosen to help make another child’s Christmas feel special.

What may seem like a simple act of giving carries an incredible amount of love and hope with it. Because of these two thoughtful girls, more children in our community will feel remembered, celebrated, and cared for this Christmas.

Teens are often the ones most easily overlooked at Christmas — and this year, we are supporting 626 teens and 1,431 children across our community. We are so thankful for every toy, every gift card, and every donation that has already been given — your generosity has already brought so much hope to so many families.

This year, we are seeing more people in need and fewer people with the ability to give, and that reality has made this season especially tender. With overall toy donations being lighter than usual, we are reaching out with open hearts and a gentle ask: if you have any wiggle room to help this Christmas, your kindness could mean everything to a teen or child who might otherwise go without.

Right now, our biggest needs include:

💛 Financial gifts to help us purchase what we’re short on

We are honoured to be supporting 486 local seniors this Christmas — nearly double the number from last year. These are neighbours living on fixed incomes who are feeling the weight of rising costs more than ever.

So far, 85 seniors have been adopted, and we are incredibly thankful to Annie, her amazing community at , and another local financial institution whose generosity made that possible. We are profoundly grateful for every person who has already stepped in to help. For the remaining seniors, we will be providing a thoughtful gift bag with a gift card, giving them the dignity and freedom to choose something meaningful for themselves.

🎄 Hamper Week Is Almost Here — We Need Your Help! 🎄

We are so deeply grateful for the incredible schools, businesses, donors, and volunteers who have already stepped forward to support our Christmas Hamper Program. Your generosity is bringing comfort, dignity, and hope to so many in our community.

This year, the need across our community has grown in a big way — we are preparing to support 200 more households than last year. While there has been wonderful support from many across the community, our toy drive has brought in about half of the toys we need to meet the full demand.

If you missed the toy drive or are just hearing about it now — not to worry. It’s not too late to donate new toys, and we would be so grateful for your help.

As we head into these final weeks, we’re inviting anyone who may have a little room to help — in whatever way fits them — to be part of making Christmas meaningful for local families.

Over the next few days, we’ll be sharing our biggest needs right now, including new toys, teen gift cards, senior gift cards, and cash donations — for those who may be wondering how to support. Every single gift makes a difference for a family, a senior, or a teen who is facing a very uncertain Christmas.
