What an incredible celebration of culture, arts, education, and community!

Folk Star Arts Academy Society extends our heartfelt gratitude to all the artists, performers, cultural groups, volunteers, sponsors, funders, partners, special guests, families, and community members who joined us and contributed to the success of Folklore Festival 2026.

Together, we shared traditions, learned from one another, celebrated cultural diversity, and created meaningful connections through the arts.

Every performance, every helping hand, and every person in the audience helped make this celebration possible.

A Powerful Cultural Collaboration at Folklore Festival 2026!

Folk Star Arts Academy Society is proud to present a special collaboration between **The Wild Moccasin Dancers** and renowned **Dhol Artist Sachin Singh** at the **Folklore Festival – Multicultural Performance Showcase**.

**Dhol Meets Powwow** brings together the powerful rhythms of Punjabi dhol and Indigenous Powwow dance in a meaningful celebration of culture, music, movement, and community connection.

💃 **Get Ready for Bollywood Energy at Folklore Festival 2026!**

We are excited to welcome **B’s Dancing Roses Entertainment**, a Surrey-based Bollywood dance school led by **Ms. Betcy Mathew**.

The school brings together dancers of all ages and celebrates a wide range of styles, including Bollywood, Folk, South Indian, Garba, Hip Hop, and Contemporary. Their performers have taken part in community events, weddings, and corporate celebrations across the Lower Mainland.

At this year’s festival, their young dancers will bring a **high-energy Bollywood extravaganza** filled with vibrant movement, excitement, and joy.

🏔️ **Experience Tibetan Dance at Folklore Festival 2026**

We are pleased to welcome **Crystal Arts Academy** presenting **“La Gangson,”** a traditional Tibetan group dance inspired by the cultural heritage of Tibet.

Originating from farming traditions and ceremonial activities in the Shannan region, this dance later developed into a joyful community performance celebrating harvests and festivals. With rhythmic footwork at its heart, **La Gangson** reflects the Tibetan people’s connection to the mountains, cultural traditions, and way of life.

🌸 **Meet Crystal Arts Academy at Folklore Festival 2026!**

We are excited to welcome **Crystal Arts Academy** presenting **“Guli Guli,”** a joyful Uyghur children’s folk dance performed by 12 young dancers around 10 years old.

Inspired by Uyghur folk music and the beauty of flowers, this vibrant performance combines cheerful rhythms with traditional movements including graceful neck movements, wrist turns, rotations, and grape-picking gestures. The dance celebrates the lively, sweet, and confident spirit of Uyghur girls.
