Founded in 2020, The Lavender Raven wasn't built from a business plan—it was built from an inability to leave well enough alone.
What started as a love of creating has evolved into a collection of wearable art, hand-sewn embroidery, upcycled fashion, oddities, and beautifully questionable ideas brought to life.
Most pieces begin the same way: wandering thrift store aisles like a raccoon with a credit card, spotting potential where everyone else sees a stained hoodie, outdated t-shirt, or forgotten pile of fabric. While we occasionally use new materials when a project calls for them, we take pride in creating primarily with thrifted, reclaimed, and rescued textiles.
Around here, old things aren't old things—they're supplies.
A hoodie becomes a tote bag. Fabric scraps become art. Forgotten textiles become something worth keeping. Every piece is designed, stitched, unstitched, reworked, and sometimes aggressively negotiated with until it becomes something entirely its own.
At the heart of many creations is hand-sewn embroidery—an art form that can't be rushed, copied, or mass-produced. Every stitch is placed by hand, creating original pieces with texture, character, and a human touch that machines simply can't replicate. In a world of fast fashion and instant production, there is something special about slowing down and making something one stitch at a time.
The Lavender Raven exists somewhere between art studio, thrift store treasure hunt, and creative chaos.
It's for people who appreciate the weird, the handmade, the imperfect, and the stories hidden in things others overlook.
We raid thrift stores so the landfill doesn't get all the cool stuff.
Because normal was never the goal.
Upcycled Threads. Worn Stories. Made With Soul.
Since 2020. 🖤
