Sundre Citizens on Patrol is seeking volunteers to help fight crime in our community.
Operating under the Alberta Citizens on Patrol Program, in cooperation with the RCMP, Sundre Citizens on Patrol members are trained and prepared to assist the local RCMP by providing voluntary patrols of the entire Sundre Detachment area, both rural and urban. To provide eyes and ears to recognize suspicious activities, record, and report to the RCMP. Volunteers use their own vehicles while patrolling in pairs, never alone. Volunteers are covered by Liability Insurance through the local C.O.P. group.
Membership requires an RCMP criminal record check, (free at the local RCMP office), a completed application form (available at the RCMP office) and a completed training program (approximately 3 hours).
A current first aid certificate is recommended (costs covered by the association).
