A sincere thank you to the Concerned Citizens of Sunderland for organizing such a successful fundraising dance party. Your hard work and dedication brought our community together for a really fun evening, and we are grateful that all proceeds were donated to the Arena Renovation and Expansion Project.
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this important community initiative. Your generosity is helping make a lasting difference!

PUBLIC APPEAL for information, pictures

In 1959 a 90 acre farm south of Sunderland was the beginning of Piggyland . This was a scam by John Laun where arm chair farmers bought shares in a company that raised pigs and sold them at a profit.
Investors were promised huge dividends from an initial small deposit. Unfortunately the hundreds of clients owned the same pig.
We are looking for memories and pictures that you have on Piggyland and will be producing a booklet on this topic.

THANK YOU everyone for your support!!! ❤️
(… and the Sunderland Lions Club thanks you too as all proceeds will go to their fundraiser for our community Arena Project)

There are still a few tickets left at 3 locations … Country Loonies & Sunderland Pharmacy in town and Cameron House in Cannington.

If we have any left on Saturday then we will sell them at the door … but highly recommended getting them in advance because you don’t want to risk missing a night of great music, laughter, your choice of delicious beef brisket, pulled pork & pork belly on a bun by Sunderland’s own Brisket Daddy BBQ and a fresh-baked surprise dessert by The Sweet Spot Cafe & Dessert Bar … and of course a cold one served by the friendly bartenders at the Sunderland Legion Branch 141 “CHEERS!”🍻
