Roving Picture Shows - for those who love all kinds of film:
In May and June, they have three screenings planned in Summerside at the Eptek:
May 3rd: a silent film, Underground, directed by Anthony Asquith, with Max Keenlyside on piano providing a live score.
May 10: a program of short films from the National Film Board of Canada that were either nominees or winners at the Oscars, from The Romance of Transportation in Canada (nominated in 1952 for Best Short Subject – Cartoon) to this year’s winner, The Girl Who Cried Pearls.
(This one is presented in partnership with the NFB, so it will be a free screening, with donations at the door.)
June 10: a silent film with live musicians doing the accompaniment (details to be confirmed).
