🤠🤠 Get ready to lasso some incredible items for a great cause! Back by popular demand, we’re once again running our online silent auction for the 2026 Grass Roots and Cowboy Boots fundraiser supporting the Prince County Hospital Foundation.

👉 Bidding officially launches this Friday and once it opens, the online auction will run until it wraps up along with the live on-site Grass Roots auction, at about 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12. Payment links for all winning bids will be sent out at the end of the night on Sept. 12, and you can arrange to pick up your items at the Foundation office starting on Monday, Sept.14.

From golf packages to vacation stays, there’s something for everyone. This is completely open to the public, meaning anyone can participate and help fund vital medical equipment for Prince County Hospital. 🏥

💙💚 Every single bid helps ensure our medical teams have the advanced technology and tools they need to care for your family, friends, and neighbours here at home, and you get some incredible items!

Last Monday, members of our staff and volunteer board of directors had the opportunity to visit the site of the Prince County Innovation and Learning Centre!

Construction progress is moving along at pace; the pouring of concrete for the floors has begun, and the stairs will be installed soon. We look forward to welcoming users to this amazing space in the late summer/early fall of 2028.

When the PCH Foundation embarked on this path a few years back, the goal was to help solidify the future of PCH on neighbouring land. The plan for the Innovation & Learning Centre not only provides a footprint in our region for UPEI’s Faculty of Medicine, but it also adds incredible opportunity for recruitment of future healthcare workers and the retention of those already in the PCH family. The new building to be connected to PCH by pedway will bring together state-of-the-art simulation training, childcare, additional meeting spaces, and dedicated housing to attract and retain healthcare professionals and welcome tomorrow's physicians to PCH.

This project of the PCH Foundation is made possible with the support of the federal and provincial governments and donor contributions.

Here's all of the latest work on this game-changing project that will help recruit and retain top-tier health care professionals.

Connected directly to PCH via pedway, the multi-use campus will feature:

💙A Medical Training Hub
💚Physician Training
💙Essential Infrastructure, including an Early Years Childcare Centre offering on-site care for health care professionals at PCH and local families.
💚Temporary Housing for Medical Residents and travelling healthcare workers
💙Expanded Services

PCH security guard and dedicated hospital volunteer, Tim Richards, was one of the first to give them a try. 👏You can tap your debit card, credit card, or smartphone to make a quick, secure donation directly to the PCH Foundation.

You'll find the machines in the hospital lobby, throughout the building, or at a local event supporting your hospital! If you pass by the new machines, take a second to make your tap, because when it comes to patient care, every dollar counts. 🏥
