Another season wrapped up in the books! Let’s take a look back at the last year and a half for our foundation.
We were able to take our foundation and run it with both first class junior hockey organizations both based here on PEI! To be able to have the support from every teammate, staff member and most importantly the community would never of made this possible.
Throughout our time we were able to consistently run on a nightly basis due to the people running the foundation. The impact they not only had on myself but everyone they shared time with was truly inspiring for me and everyone who witnessed the work they put in.
None of this would have been possible without the sponsorship from Ladner’s Source for Sports and Summerside Source for Sports. As a major sponsor they were always there and did everything they possibly could for us as an organization to succeed.
Thank you to the Special Olympics PEI for being there and to Matt McNally and Charity Sheehan for lining up our fans every night for the fan of the game.
Lastly thank you to every individual from the Special Olympics I’ve met over the years. You have left a lastly impact not only on me but everyone that was there with you guys at every game. It was truly an honour to meet all you guys and have made a friend with all of us for life.
Always more than a game.
Jake
