The Summerland Auxiliary Thrift Store is a hometown hero and a true legend and anchor to the beautiful town.

When we created The Summerland District Market we intentionally kept it on Tuesday in support of the Thrift store. If you've been blessed to have grown up in Summerland and continue to live here, you know. Most of the town is closed and pretty quiet Sunday/ Monday but the town really comes alive on Tuesday.

You will observe LINE UPS outside this hidden gem (not so hidden) travellers and locals alike from near and far line up to discover all the local goodness and greatness from the donations provided.
The Volunteers are all wonderful people and often familiar faces, teachers, artists and all around good people.

The most special of all is the impact this thrift store has. Boosting the economy, donating to local charities and burserys. Also funding hospital upgrades (I'm only going off the top of my head.)
A special place in my heart as my Grandma was a volunteer for the auxiliary and she was a beautiful soul.

When you travel to Summerland, plan to stay awhile.
