Our We Are Magic: coffeehouses for the trans community these past two Sunday were a HUGE success! Many thanks to those who attended our events! We create space so we ALL have places to go where we feel welcomed, meaningfully included, and seen, and where our trans joy can flourish ✨🏳️‍⚧️ Many thanks to Crossroads Convenience for having us! Community organizing update: With one month left until our third year of events, we are very busy getting prepared! Here's an update on what we've been working on.

-Volunteers: we had our Volunteer Open House at the AIDS Committee office on Thurs, Aug 20th. We started to set up our volunteer teams across the two days of events. We still need more help on Saturday: Safety Marshalls, road closure help, and set up/ tear down for the Community Fair.
- Mutual aid: we are purchasing mutual aid supplies to hand out across our events such as non-perishable food items, tent repair kits, bus tickets, etc. We are also purchasing more items to help with safety, such as walkie talkies!
- Portable, community mural: we are adding an interactive event to the Community Fair - a portable, community mural! This mural will represent inclusion and community care and will be co-designed by members of our organizing group.

"I wrote She/They as a way of exploring my gender identity. I recently learned what being demigender means, and when I did, it was like something settled in me. My femininity will always be a part of me, but I feel free to explore the other parts that feel genderless and timeless. This poem honours those parts."

JOIN US this Sun, Aug 16th and next Sun, Aug 23rd from 1-3pm for coffeehouses for the trans community. 🏳️‍⚧️✨ Our new venue is Crossroads Convenience, located at 348 Algonquin Ave, North Bay. All are welcome! Please RSVP for one/both Sundays via DM so we have an accurate estimate to give to the venue.

In light of a national coffee chain partnering with a franchise with a transphobic creator, and attacks on trans rights and legislation, we want to make space for trans people locally. Support local businesses! Enjoy coffee, tea, make new friends, and resist transphobia. Hope to see you there! 🏳️‍⚧️✨

Let's gather together on Prisoners’ Justice Day (PJD). PJD is more than a day of remembrance. It is a day of action, solidarity, and a commitment to ensure that lives lost behind prison walls are never forgotten. Gather together on Monday at Regis Square from 2-3pm.
