Please add Pitch-in week and the community clean-up event on April 30 to your calendars! Spring melt shows all the garbage that has been left behind throughout town, and with lots of hands, we can make Strathmore a much cleaner place again!

Get your gloves and bags ready, Strathmore.

Our annual Pitch In Week is April 27 to May 4 this year. You can find more information at Strathmore.ca/PitchinWeek2026

Bloom in Strathmore. Grow Your Community.

Looking for leadership experience that actually means something?

Strathmore Communities in Bloom is recruiting new Board Members—and yes, this fits into a busy professional life.

Communities in Bloom is a national program focused on sustainability, placemaking, and community pride.
Locally, we turn those values into real projects and events that make Strathmore more vibrant and livable.

Why this is great for young professionals:
✔ Board + governance experience (hello LinkedIn upgrade 👀)
✔ Project management you can point to
✔ Networking with engaged community leaders
✔ A chance to make visible impact—without a huge time drain

The commitment:
• 3–4 evening board meetings per year
• 2–3 community events (usually Saturdays)
• Lead or support 1–2 projects you care about
This is a hands-on, idea-welcoming board—your voice matters here.

On Sat Sept 20, Strathmore Communities in Bloom planted more trees in honor of babies born to the community!

We also celebrated the honor and legacy of the late Tony Heuver, founder of Eagle Lake Nurseries with the unveiling of a sign to be installed at the birth forest.

Thank you to our amazing sponsors Eagle Lake Nurseries Ltd, Servus Credit Union and Town of Strathmore for all your support and contributions towards this project!

Thank you to all our awesome volunteers who came out to help us plant and celebrate!
