🐺⭐ Congratulations! ⭐🐺

Last night, we had the honour of recognizing an outstanding achievement in our Cub Pack.

Congratulations to Abi on earning the Seeonee Award, the highest award a Cub Scout can achieve in Scouts Canada.

This award represents years of adventure, personal growth, service to others, leadership, and dedication to Scouting. Earning the Seeonee Award requires commitment, perseverance, and a willingness to challenge yourself while helping those around you.

Throughout her time in Cubs, Abi has embraced new experiences, developed valuable outdoor skills, served her community, and been a positive role model within our Pack. We are incredibly proud of all she has accomplished.

🌟 Congratulations to Our North Star Award Recipients! 🌟

We are incredibly proud to celebrate three outstanding members of our Beaver Colony who have earned the North Star Award, the highest achievement available in the Beaver Scout section!

To earn this prestigious award, these Beavers demonstrated dedication, perseverance, leadership, community spirit, and a commitment to adventure. Along their journey, they completed Outdoor Adventure Skills stages, contributed meaningful service to their community, participated in service projects, and reflected on their personal growth as Scouts.

This achievement represents years of learning, exploring, helping others, and living the values of Scouting. We couldn’t be prouder of everything they have accomplished.

Please join us in congratulating our three North Star Award recipients on this remarkable milestone. Your hard work, enthusiasm, and positive example have made a lasting impact on our Colony.

We had an amazing year end Beavers Day Camp, where we built two pollinator gardens for the Town of Strathmore! We focused on including as many native Alberta pollinator plants as possible, along with other pollinator friendly plants that support local bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects.

A huge thank you to RONA Strathmore, Eagle Lake Nurseries Ltd, Legacy Speed & Body, Thoms House of Creations, and the Chinook Council Grizzly Den - Ursa Minor for their generous support. This project would not have been possible without your contributions.

Another big thank you to one of our Cub Scouters, Sona, for helping us build the gardens, and a special shout out to our amazing Beavers! They worked hard, showed great teamwork, and were involved from start to finish. We even managed to squeeze in some splash park fun before the storm rolled in and brought our day to an early end.

The scouts and vents went for a hike! We hiked Jura Creek. But we could not actually follow the creek like other times as the water was high, so we got to explore up both sides of it.

The Beavers and Cubs had a great evening fishing at Kinsmen Park! Along the way, they learned about fishing safety, casting techniques, patience, and respecting our local waterways and wildlife. It was wonderful to see everyone trying new skills, helping each other, and enjoying the outdoors together.

Scout Truck Races 2026.From a kit of small pieces, these youth made their creations and raced them in a series of heats to find out who’s was the fastest.

We also had Dilly bars as a reward for those who tipped their canoes and showed how to do a T-reduce on May 27 when we went canoeing on Lake Bonavista (for those that didn’t tip, or didn’t make it to canoeing…we had freezies 😊)
