There was an awesome gathering for the unity BBQ at Mission 7 today. It brought together many fellow ministries like Shawn Hamm, Artur Pawlowski, Worship Jesus with Flags and several more. We all serve in different ministries led by the same spirit, so it’s awesome to have these opportunities to gather together once in a while. We were blessed with the opportunity to supply so much clothing today for the event, thanks to all of our community support! Thank you all so much, God bless!

We weren’t planning on posting anything today, but we wanted to invite everyone to pray for a few people. First of all we met a mother and her adult daughter Madeline. They came to Calgary from Ontario, and circumstances didn’t go their way. For the time being they are staying in the drop in centre in Calgary, but find it to be a scary and dangerous place to be. They are fellow believers, and we prayed together that the Lord guides them, protects them, and continues to bring provision to them.

The second encounter we had was with 2 police officers. One in particular stood out to us. He was also a fellow believer, and he praised us for our commitment, as we also praised them for their service! They fully believe in our mission and believe we offer hope to people in times of desperation, but more importantly, they encourage offering hope as well as guidance to resources for people ready to change. They pray for people like us who serve the homeless population, so we ask for prayer for them as well. They have a way of interacting with the same people we do, that makes them feel seen and loved. Everyone we see is someones son or daughter, someone who deserves a chance at success, and they see them no differently, so we pray God protects them and keeps them encouraged

We haven’t posted in a while, not only because we don’t always have the opportunity for pictures because we have all hands on deck, but we’re also in a season of feeding into and ministering to our own family. But today we hit the streets of Calgary with some sweet treats and cold water as well as some care packages, before joining our friends at mission 7! It seemed like every street we walked down, people were singing, praising and ministering to people in the name of Jesus! It was such a blessing to us!

We had a wonderful time at mission 7 this afternoon! We seen some of the first people we served when we began ministry, as well as many new faces! We met a wonderful man of God named Jackan, and God has really placed seeds in his heart for ministry, so we pray God uses him in mighty and powerful ways, and guides his steps!

Mission 7 sets up Thursdays at 6pm and Saturdays at 2pm every week! All are welcome to join!

This is the day the Lord has made;

Have a blessed weekend, and if you haven’t been to church before, or in a long time, find a Good Friday service, and a resurrection Sunday service to be part of. This is when we mark the time where God gave everything so that we may be saved. He gave His son as a perfect sacrifice for all!

Also if you don’t know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, today is the day of salvation! Ask God into your heart and into your life. Lay down your troubles at the foot of the cross, and trust Him to walk with you. If you are ready to put your trust in Him, and receive the free gift of salvation, say this prayer from your heart, and be sure to find a church body to grow in fellowship with.

God, i’m a sinner in need of a savior.
I believe you sent your only son, to live a perfect life and allowed Him to be sacrificed for my sin. I believe He died on the cross, was buried in a tomb, and was raised back up after 3 days, defeating sin and the grave. Jesus I ask you to come into my life as my personal Lord and Savior, help me to repent and guide me in truth. Lord I love you, and worship you with my life!

While helping at Mission 7 today I felt another pull at my heart for Strathmore. I know if God orders something, He will make a way and and give provision, so our request is for prayer over this. With the cost of everything rising, I feel God calling to help people in our community. I don’t even know what that looks like yet, so we’re asking God for clarity, guidance and provision if this is in fact what He’s calling us to do. We believe Mission 7 has a wonderful impact on their community by offering a little bit of a break on people’s grocery bill each week, and we believe it can be done here in our community as well.
