🌟 Join Our Amazing Team of Volunteers! 🌟
United Way is looking👀 for friendly, professional people for our office at 32 Erie Street in Stratford. As a member of our Reception team, you'll be the first point of contact for the public and all tenants.
Responsibilities include:
📞 Answering phones
👋 Greeting and directing visitors to the appropriate agency or staff
📬 Distributing incoming mail and processing outgoing mail
✏️ Other tasks as requested by staff
If you like working with the public, enjoy office administration, and have an eye for detail, this may be the volunteer opportunity you're looking for!
Time Commitment:
3 to 4 hour shifts during United Centre hours (currently 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Availability for one or two shifts a week would be ideal but not necessary.

We're so excited about our United Housing initiative's Music Hall Apartments project in downtown Listowel, and humbled by the incredible response from the North Perth community in helping address the housing crisis locally. What an amazing showing of local spirit! Thanks to all the donors, investors and partners (including all three levels of government) who supported this project, and to everyone who attended yesterday's event!

You can’t solve homelessness without homes. If we’re not building more housing, we’re not actually trying to fix the problem.

“Temporary shelters may seem like progress to communities wrestling with the issue of homelessness, but the evidence doesn’t support the belief that tiny shelter communities and other similar temporary solutions can help vulnerable individuals transition into permanent housing,” said Vassilakos. “By contrast, research does show that an approach like Housing First is a more effective investment in permanent and supportive housing.”
