Facilitator Friday: Jamie Wiesner's background in occupational therapy taught her how students move and process information. The Davis programs showed her how to address why they struggle.
When Jamie realized students needed tools to understand their disorientation—not just help managing symptoms—everything clicked. She saw how the Davis approach aligned with her years of experience: when students learn what causes their struggles and use the right tools, reading stops being painful and confidence returns.
Her students walk in frustrated and leave knowing they can do hard things. Parents watch kids go from dreading books to picking them up.
Jamie runs Inspire Learning Solutions in Clear Lake, South Dakota, designed to support learning with a welcoming environment and the space students need to settle and focus. She works in person only, which means she knows each student's pace and what actually helps.
