35/37 Toronto Scout Group It starts with Scouts! www.scouts.ca According to the 35/37th Scouts original charter, Scouting began at St. John's Norway in 1912. The groups meet at St.

This unit has continually operated and registered a Scout group every year since 1912. The 100th Anniversary Celebration was held in 2012 at St. Johns, making the 35/37th one of the oldest continuously operating Scout groups in Canada. The group operates five sections; Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers and Rovers. John's Norway and up the street at Norway Public School.

The real MVP of our week at camp was this handwashing setup from Firdale Outdoors. I've never seen the Scouts so enthusiastic about washing hands, so much so that we ran out of hand soap by the middle of the week! The USB-C rechargable battery-operated pump pulls water from the lower bucket, and the included brackets help keep everything stacked and in place. Simply add buckets and find out just how clean your campers hands can be 😂. An ingenious solution from a small Canadian brand, can't recommend it enough.

The last couple days at camp flew by quick! Paddleboarding, trappers cabin and fishing rounded out the program for the week, followed by the camp wide campfire. Then it was time to pack up, clean up site, and say goodbye to Pal Point and HSR for another year.

Thursdays are regatta day at HSR! We spent our morning taking aim on the ranges, before making our way to the waterfront for a series of silly, fun and somewhat competitive races against the rest of the HSR campers. Our troop did great considering we were outsized by most of the other groups!

The next few days at Haliburton had us descending from great heights, diving in the deep, cruising in kayaks, putting the wind in our sails, falling off the dock and celebrating a birthday! A very chilly but fun weekend at camp! Despite the cold we managed to get in some fire lighting, sledding, hiking and games out in the snow. Made some fleece neck warmers as well for our winter skills OAS, and some fire starters to give us a better chance at getting them going in the snow!
