What a fantastic Farmers' Days weekend!

The Rotary Club of Stony Plain was proud to once again support this great community tradition by sponsoring and manning the beverage station at the Mayor and Council Pancake Breakfast. It was wonderful to connect with so many friends, neighbours, and visitors while helping everyone start their day with a smile.

The celebration continued in the Farmers' Days Parade, where Rotarians teamed up with the amazing students of Memorial Composite High School's Interact Club to design and build a special float celebrating 40 years of Rotary service in our community. The float featured both current and past Rotarians, along with Interact students who represent the next generation of community leaders.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the breakfast, waved along the parade route, and helped make Farmers' Days such a memorable event. Here's to 40 years of Service Above Self—and many more to come!

What a great morning at the Rotary!

Myrna Findt, a member of the Rotary Club of Edmonton West came to speak with us this morning. She didn’t come as a Rotarian officially, but even so she brought the tenets of what it is to be a Rotarian with her in her talk about her passion, horse rescue. Myrna gave us a glimpse into what real horse rescue looks like and shared the many different stories of the horses that have found their way into her care over the years. She brings heart and compassion to this work.

We also celebrated one of our favourite Rotary traditions—membership induction—and this morning we had the privilege of doing it twice!

Please join us in welcoming our newest members, Shaylyn Kutyn and Matt Zakresky, to the Rotary family. Every induction serves as a reminder of what it means to be a Rotarian: service above self, fellowship, integrity, and making a positive difference in our communities.

The Rotary Club of Stony Plain is proud to once again sponsor and volunteer at the beverage station for the Mayor and Council Pancake Breakfast during Farmers' Days!

Join us on Saturday, June 6, from 7:00–9:00 AM at Glenn Hall Centennial Arena for a Stony Plain tradition that brings our community together. Enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast, connect with friends and neighbours, and help kick off a day of Farmers' Days festivities.

After breakfast, be sure to find a spot along the parade route and take in all the excitement happening throughout town.
