Community Futures is a federally funded government program that provides resources to develop and diversify the local economy. We provide entrepreneurs with practical, technical, financial and business information. We have access to government agencies and programs that may be of interest to entrepreneurs. Serving the communities of Parkland County, Leduc County and Brazeau County, Community Futures Capital Region (CFCR) is located in Stony Plain, Alberta and is a non-profit organization dedicated to growing communities and encouraging, sustaining and supporting economic development across rural Alberta. Funded by Western Economic Diversification, CFCR is a development lender assisting viable business ideas which result in economic success for our rural communities. Community Futures offices across across Western Canada have assisted thousands of entrepreneurs through business counseling, loan programs and training seminars and have had a positive impact in rural Alberta for over 20 years. Well, it's official, YETI 2026 has come to an end. 🥲

As the summer wraps up, we are SO proud of these kids and all the work they have put in! They have been running their businesses for the last few months, learning all the steps and responsibilities that come with entrepreneurship, and their growth over the summer has been off the charts!

YETI is evolving and growing as a program every year, but it wouldn't mean anything without all the incredible people who make it happen:

YETI ran this year with the Parkland School Division Connections for Learning, as a summer school program, AND is coming back in the school year as a class. Thank you to everyone at CFL and the Parkland School Division who made this summer happen!

We couldn't do this program without our incredibly generous sponsors, the Town of Stony Plain and Decker Properties Management Ltd .

We also owe a huge thank you to our guest judges for the year-end pitch competition, Abdalla Mohamed from Business Link Alberta, and Aiden from , a YETI alumni and last year's High Achiever award winner!
