Stittsville Village Association (SVA) Get involved! Please let us know if you'd like to volunteer.

The SVA is committed to actively preserving Stittsville's village character by hosting three annual free events (Art in the Park, Canada Day Fireworks and the Parade of Lights) and by sharing development news with the community. Membership of the SVA is open to any resident of Stittsville, 18 years of age or older, and any person who owns or manages a business in Stittsville. In addition to advoca

ting for the community on issues such as residential and commercial planning/development, better transportation and transit, and preserving Stittsville’s village character, the SVA and its volunteers are also responsible for organizing popular community events such as Art in the Park, Canada Day in Stittsville, and the Stittsville Parade of Lights. Your help and involvement is always appreciated, and high school students can earn credit toward meeting their community service requirements.

Art in the Park 2026 is wrapped up for another year, and despite the rain and puddles, our community showed up beautifully.
My sincere thanks and shout-outs to all who made yesterday happen.:

• Our vendors and food vendors (listed below)
• Our kid performers and ASNY Productions
• Our children’s book author Shelagh Needham and Pedro!
• Glen Gower - Councillor / Conseiller - Stittsville for joining us
• Our area neighbours and community
• Our incredible volunteers and first aiders
• Stittsville Glass and Screens for always sharing your space
• My AP team - Dan Stittsville Market at The Barn, Phil Sweetnam, Mandy Hambly and Chris S - your support this weekend meant everything

And most importantly to Glenda MacInnes and family - it was wonderful to see you. We hope we honoured the essence this event in the way it deserves.

Personally, thank you for the hugs, kindness, patience, and feedback. We have heard the areas we can improve, and we’ll keep building on it. What matters most is that our community came together - talking, laughing, sharing, and connecting.
