Kinette Club Of Stettler "Serving the Community's Greatest Need" - A dynamic group of women volunteering in our community.

Kin Canada is an all-Canadian service organization made up of dedicated member volunteers who serve their community’s greatest needs through hosting and sponsoring events and community service projects. Since its founding, Kin, Kinsmen and Kinette clubs across Canada have contributed more than $1 billion to Canadian communities and disaster relief programs beyond our borders.

Have you seen our flock land around town and wondering what is going on?

Each summer the Kinette Club of Stettler hosts our Flocking Fundraiser where for only $30 we will sneak into your friends' and families' front yard to set up our flock for a couple days before they migrate. Funds raised from this flocking good time allow us to continue serving our community!

We are so excited to share that our Hazel Kuck Memorial Bursary winner Savannah Carlson has been awarded the Hal Rogers Endowment Bursary from Kin Canada! Congratulations Savannah, we are so proud of you! ❤

This is the third year in a row that the student we nominated has received this bursary and we think it truly showcases how amazing our local youth are! Did you know that as of 2024, 1287 bursaries, worth $1,291,000, have been disbursed since 1994. How amazing is that?!

On the weekend, our club had the incredible honour of visiting STARS Ambulance in Calgary. We toured a state of the art air ambulance, checked out the Emergency Link Centre where every STARS mission begins, and witnessed firsthand the incredible coordination that goes into saving a life.

During our tour, the crew was called out on a mission. With professionalism and precision they were lifting off in an unbelievably short amount of time because somewhere, someone was fighting for their life and this incredible organization was there to help.

STARS is one of our annual donation recipients and this year we were able to add a small additional donation from our District 4 KINvention Sticker Sale. On average, it costs $12,000,000 per year in operational costs per base and Alberta is fortunate enough to have three. While we always hope we never need their services, we are incredibly fortunate to have them. If you’re able, please consider supporting STARS. www.stars.ca

Thank you to all the staff and crew who took time Saturday to host us, it was amazing experience we would highly recommend to anyone who has the opportunity. On June 10 we held our last meeting of the Kin Year and although there was a bit of business to be done, there were many laughs as well!

We want to welcome our newest Kinette, Cheryl Veitch who also happened to be our Rookie of the Year! Congratulations Cheryl, and thank you so much for jumping into our Club and being a massive source of positive energy!

Also a big congratulations to our Kinette of the Year, our guiding light, our voice of reason, Cindy Falkenberg! Who knows where we would be without you!

Last Saturday a few Kinettes & Kinsmen (and Sharon's co****le partner) had a little get together after a whirlwind of a year! There was laughter, fun, a little bit of competition, and absolutely no accusations of cheating...

Both clubs will be taking a hiatus over the summer before meetings begin again in September but please feel free to message us if you have any questions!
