Let’s share some memories of our Bay St. George Folk Arts group!!!
In 2009, we hosted Kelly Russell at the Holiday Inn for a great night of entertainment.
He was joined by Felix and Formanger !!!
What a great night! We even had some dancers Aldonna O'Keefe

In early May the Bay St. George Folk Arts Council embarked on another project. A play reading was held at Whaleback Nordic Ski Club. The play, “Dermot”,written by Ben Pittman, was a live music play read about musician Dermot O’Reilly and the folk group Ryan's Fancy.
Live music wrapped itself around this reading to make it a truly enjoyable experience for all.

Bill Alexander takes the lead on the beloved classic Dirty Old Town, backed by fellow members in a wonderful display of musical talent, friendship, and community spirit.

Songs like this remind us why traditional music continues to bring people together. Whether you’re singing along, tapping your feet, or simply listening, there’s something timeless about sharing music in good company.

🎶 And the tunes have begun! 🎶

What a wonderful evening of music, laughter, and community as musicians gathered together for a traditional song circle.

One by one, singers and players took their turn sharing songs, stories, and talents, creating an atmosphere that was warm, welcoming, and full of heart. There’s something special about a traditional song circle—no stage, no spotlight, just people coming together to celebrate music and connection.

From familiar favorites to new discoveries, every song added something unique to the evening. It was a reminder of how music brings people together, bridges generations, and creates memories that last long after the final note is played.

Thank you to everyone who participated, listened, sang along, and helped make the evening such a success. We’re looking forward to many more moments like this throughout the weekend!
