FAMILY RESOURCE PROGRAM COORDINATOR

The Community Action Committee for Southwestern Newfoundland Family Resource Program provides programs and services for expectant mothers and their infants, and children from birth to six years and their families through a network of eight Family Resource Centres and four Healthy Baby Clubs throughout the region. Our organization presently has a temporary position available for a Family Resource Program Coordinator in the Stephenville/Port au Port Peninsula area.

The Family Resource Program Coordinator will work as a team player with other program staff and community partners in the planning, coordination and delivery of programs and services for families with young children. Duties will include planning and facilitating community-based early learning and childcare initiatives and programs for young children and their families including child/parent programs such as Drop-in Play, Baby and Toddler Time, Little Chefs, etc., as well as parenting programs and workshops.

Applicants must have a diploma in Early Childhood Education or related field supplemented by a minimum of two years relevant work experience. First Aid/CPR Certificate, Criminal Records Check, and own transportation are required.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Starting Salary: $20 to $22 per hour depending upon qualifications

Position commencing September 8, 2026 to March 31, 2026 with possibility of extension.

What a wonderful turnout CYN had at our Seniors and Youth Social! A big thank you to all of our wonderful partners including Alyssa, Public Health, the Lourdes Parish and Lourdes Catholic Women's League, to Larry, our awesome bingo caller, to all the seniors who came, and to all the youth who did a fabulous job with setting up and cleaning up, serving the snacks, calling back bingo, doing ticket draws, and socializing with the seniors!
