With guest speaker: Atlas Salt and a presentation of our Business Award of Distinction. Finger foods and refreshments will be served. CBDC Long Range will also do a brief presentation on our past year.

CBDC Executive Directors from across the province had meetings in Burgeo. A beautiful town with such friendly people and an amazing location. We would like to thank Reach Road Efficiency Units for our accommodations, the Jolly 50 Plus club for space to have meetings, and Sandbanks Provincial Park for breathtaking views. Lisa's Roadside Restaurant makes the best fried chicken and The Foodland provided delicious prepared meals that was easy to warm up and convenient. Thank you to Chief Byron Alexander of Newfoundland Naturalist for a great evening of knowledge sharing. We all learned a lot from you. He is an interesting and inspiring presenter who provides teachings of Newfoundland plants and their uses and benefits.

🍁 Another strong year for CBDC Long Range!

In 2025/26, we approved 39 loans, assisted 29 businesses, supported 79 jobs, and disbursed more than $3.56 million in financing to businesses in our region.

Across Newfoundland & Labrador, CBDCs provided more than $25.6 million in financing and supported hundreds of jobs in rural communities.

A big shoutout to all of our fellow CBDCs across the province, and to the entrepreneurs, staff, volunteers and partners who continue to strengthen rural Newfoundland & Labrador.

Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Today, we recognize and commemorate the history and ongoing legacy of residential schools and the trauma experienced by so many. We encourage everyone to take the day to learn, listen and reflect on the impact of the Canadian Indian residential school system.

Chaque année, le 30 septembre marque la Journée nationale de la vérité et de la réconciliation. Our fall newsletter indicated that Eddy's Towing Services was closed. We apologize for this error.

Still in operation as Eddy Services. Miscommunication on our end resulted in the error. CBDC Long Range recognizes the valued service that Eddy Services brings to our area. We are truly sorry.

Fundraiser to purchase 3 cuddle beds for palliative care unit at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation!

💙 TOMORROW IS THE DAY! 💙

Tomorrow, our community comes together for the Together for Tomorrow’s Healthcare Fundraiser!

📅 Thursday, September 24th
⏰ 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

This year, the funds raised through our fundraiser will help the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation purchase three cuddle beds for Palliative Care, a bladder scanner, and an ESU for the ER. 🏥💙

Whether you make a donation in honour of someone special, in memory of a loved one, or simply to support the future of healthcare in our community, your generosity matters. ❤️

We’ll be sharing donation updates throughout the day right here on Facebook, including the names of our donors and the loved ones they have chosen to honour or remember.
