Dear friends,

Unfortunately, several of my kiddos are still sick, and even though I am feeling a bit better, my voice and my energy levels are still suffering, so I won't be able to teach the class on Sunday. :( I sincerely apologize for the repeated cancellation, especially since I wanted to do something nice for Christmas.

I hope at least a few of us will still make it out to the Deanery Day of Confession tomorrow, and I encourage you to do the same if you haven't had a chance to go before Christmas! The times (and available priests) are below:

Our Lady of Lourdes Parish - Saturday December 20th, 10am-2pm

10am-11am Fr. Collin MacKinnon & Fr. Godwin kalu
11am-12noon Fr. Donald Boudreau
12pm-1pm Fr. Peter MacDonald
1pm-2pm Fr. Rowland Agonmuo & Fr. Macdonald Ibeh

Our class will go on break for the Christmas season, with a planned return date of January 11. I hope to see you then!

Dear friends, someone either hacked into Fr. Ibeh's email or used the parish website and/or the parish bulletin to send scam emails pretending to be Fr. Ibeh asking parishioners for help, then for gift cards to supposedly send to someone in the hospital. I know most people probably catch on and realize it is a scam, but kind-hearted and less tech-savvy seniors get scammed like this quite often. So, if you know anyone you think might be vulnerable to being scammed, please give them a heads up not to respond to them, and definitely not send any money or gift cards. Fr. Ibeh is already aware of the situation and he has asked Carol at the office to deploy a warning email to parishioners. We pray nobody has gotten taken by this. Let us pray for the perpetrators. Nobody does this for a living unless they have found themselves in undesirable life circumstances.

*Catechism Class Cancelled tomorrow, Sunday November 9*: Dear friends, as you know, I am away this weekend and Angel was going to teach our catechism class tomorrow. However, due to a significant percentage of the families in our class notifying us that they are either sick or away, we have decided to cancel the class and postpone tomorrow's catechism lesson till next Sunday.
