We had a small, but mighty, group at our meeting yesterday! Sylvia took on several roles and did an exemplary job evaluating! But the highlight was the Humorous Anecdote she shared! I had tears in my eyes with laughter 😂!!Sylvia Nilsson-Barkman

Come join is Wednesday, April 8 at 12 noon at Eastman Education Centre, 385 Loewen Blvd. Our Theme this week is Two Minutes of Fame - Table Topics Meeting and our Toastmaster is Sylvia Nilsson Barkman. Guests are always welcome!

Our theme this week was ‘National Self-Employed Day’. Toastmaster: Marlene Fast, Prepared Speaker: Mike Lynes and General Evaluator plus other roles: Sylvia Nilsson-Barkman. Always a lot of fun and entertainment! Our Table Topics Master was Natalie Dueck and she had some excellent questions and a unique take on Table Topics!!!

Guests are ALWAYS welcome! We meet every Wednesday from 12 noon till 1:00 at Eastman Education Center on Loewen Blvd. Steinbach.

Our Club Speech Contest took place today! The very capable Sheryl Poirier was our Contest Chair and led a great contest!

There were 3 contestants for the Tall Tales Contest: Leonid Goncharov, Mike Lynes and Marlene Fast.

Mike will be going on to the Area Contest as he came in 1st! Marlene placed 2nd and Leonid 3rd.

2 contestants for the International Speech Contest: Susan Yakabowich and Mike Lynes.

Susan won the International Speech and will be going on to the Area Contest!

It was a pleasure listening to the speakers!

Congratulations and best of luck Mike and Susan!

We had our last meeting of 2025 today - Christmas themed. Unfortunately , due to the weather warnings of freezing rain, Sheryl couldn’t drive out but she did join us via Zoom. Another great meeting! MERRY CHRISTMAS and Happy New Year!

My Toastmasters Club is hosting an Open House tomorrow, Wednesday, October 29 at Eastman Education Center from 4:30-5:30. If you’ve ever wondered what we’re all about, this is your chance. You will experience a regular meeting (I will be sharing an Inspiration.). AND there will be snacks!! Hope to see some friends join me!!

Our Prepared Speaker yesterday (Sept 10), Susan Yakabowich. Title of her speech: “The Power of Professionalism”. Very interesting, extremely informative and well delivered! Each week we have a Prepared Speaker! If you’re interested in learning to articulate or be comfortable in speaking… we are Club for you! We meeting every Wednesday from 12:00 - 1:00 at Eastman Education Center, Loewen Blvd. Steinbach.
